Sky: Romagnoli and Florenzi in line for first Milan starts of the season as duo are fatigued

By Oliver Fisher -

There may be a first start on the cards for AC Milan captain Alessio Romagnoli against Lazio on Sunday, a report claims.

Journalist Manuele Baiocchini spoke live on Sky Italia (via MilanNews) and discussed some of the choices that head coach Stefano Pioli could make for the game on Sunday evening, beginning by stating his belief that Romagnoli could be a starter against Lazio paired with Fikayo Tomori.

Simon Kjaer could be rested because he returned from playing a lot of minutes with the Danish national team. The same thing situation applies to Alexis Saelemaekers, who is happy having scored his first goal with the Belgium shirt but is also a bit tired from the trips in the last few days.

Therefore, it is expected that Alessandro Florenzi will be the winger in the usual 4-2-3-1 formation and it will be seen whether Rebic or Ibrahimovic starts up front. They want to bring the Swede back into the fold gradually, but if he asks to play he will play.
