Sky: Romagnoli, Tomori and Dalot posed as Milan defensive duo suffer from flu symptoms

By Oliver Fisher -

Some doubts have emerged regarding the fitness of two key defenders ahead of Milan’s crucial home game against Benevento tomorrow night.

According to Sky Italia (via MilanNews), Davide Calabria and Simon Kjaer trained separately at Milanello on Friday as both are suffering from flu-like symptoms, but it has been confirmed that they do not have Coronavirus.

If they are well enough tomorrow then they will be the starters against Benevento, otherwise there will be an opportunity for Diogo Dalot as the right-back, while Fikayo Tomori and Alessio Romagnoli will be at the centre of defence.

It would of course be a blow to Pioli if neither were to be available as it seems that the team cannot have a week without some kind of selection issue to content with. Nonetheless, it may be good for both to get a rest ahead of the vital game against Juventus next week.
