Sky: Several Milan players show up for training despite having day off

By Oliver Fisher -

A number of players showed up to train at Milanello today despite having another rest day granted by Stefano Pioli, it is claimed.

Yesterday Milan put in a good team performance as they achieved another vital victory, this time their highest margin of the season winning 4-0 against Crotone. It was a very important result which allowed the Rossoneri to return to the top of the Serie A table.

There has been a running theme in the current Milan squad regarding players showing up to train even on rest days – usually granted after a game – and today was no exception.

According to what Peppe Di Stefano has told Sky Italia (via MilanLive), part of the team showed up at Milanello anyway despite having the day off. There is a great desire to improve and continue towards the targets set.

“Today was an optional day at Milanello, but despite this, part of the team showed up together with all the technical staff. There is a lot of work with all the members of the coaching staff to close the February commitments, a month that has already started well for the Rossoneri,” he said.

The full squad can be expected to resume training tomorrow therefore in view of the weekend’s game.
