Russian side Spartak Moscow are confident that they can close a deal for Spurs defender and reported Milan target Serge Aurier, a report claims.
Head coach Stefano Pioli found little consistency on the right side of his defence as both Davide Calabria and Andrea Conti did not find form week-in week-out, plus both were affected by suspensions and injuries.
Serge Aurier is one of the players who has been repeatedly linked, but Sky Sports recently reported that talks have stopped for the time being due to differences between Spurs and Milan on the valuation of the player.
The same outlet are now claiming that Milan face competition to land the former PSG defender as Spartak Moscow made enquiries for the Ivorian earlier this month and are ‘increasingly confident’ they can do a deal.
Spurs for their part are happy to to allow Aurier to leave and the player is open to the move, because his replacement is already there in Matt Doherty who signed from Wolves earlier in the summer.
I think Serge is a better player now than he has ever been. It will be a shame if he has to leave.
Agree. I think he stays because he is the only backup in that position.
Maybe, but he is too much of a liability. He loses us two or three games a year on his own!
HaHa Merlin!
Calabria costed us the whole Champions League spot a year ago (2018-19) on his own!
