Sky: Spezia ask if young Milan midfielder can rejoin on loan – the Rossoneri’s response

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s management met with Spezia at Casa Milan to discuss the future of midfielder Tommaso Pobega, according to a report.

According to the latest from Sky (via MilanLive), Spezia made an attempt to get Pobega back next season as their sporting director Pecini asked for the renewal of his loan for another season, until June 2022. It is a proposal that does not seem to have convinced Milan, who rejected the idea.

The Rossoneri management instead informed Spezia that they will only consider offers to sell him on a permanent basis for around €12m, and while Milan would like to keep Pobega in the squad, an offer that would allow the club to make a sizeable capital gain would be taken into consideration.

Fiorentina and Atalanta have also been linked while Spezia cannot spend the €12m asked for, so as of today Pobega will remain in the squad as a fourth midfielder and a wild card not to be underestimated.
