Sky: Tonali fully recovered and should start for Italy against England

By Oliver Fisher -

Some positive news has arrived regarding the fitness of Sandro Tonali amid worries that he too had picked up an injury in the game against Napoli.

Left-back Theo Hernandez has sustained an adductor problem and will therefore miss the two matches that France will play against Austria and Denmark in the Nations League (22 and 25 September). Davide Calabria will also require rest over the break due to a muscle issue, but an injury has been ruled out.

Roberto Mancini’s comments about Tonali arriving to training camp with a ‘problem’ caused alarm on Monday, but according to Sky (via MilanNews) he has fully recovered and on Friday night against England at San Siro he should start from the first minute.

The Rossoneri star should play in the middle of the field together with Inter’s Nicolo Barella and Jorginho in a 3-5-2, with the pressure on the Azzurri to start producing some big results given their failure to qualify for the World Cup.
