Sky: Four possible XI changes against Salernitana – the latest from Milanello

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan will take on Salernitana on Monday evening and following the draw against Tottenham mid-week, Stefano Pioli could make some changes to the XI. In fact, he could make as many as four, a report claims.

The Rossoneri are flying high after advancing to the quarter-finals of the Champions League. However, the schedule has been tight lately and it will thus also be good to give some of the players a bit of rest.

According to Sky Italia (via Francesco Nasato), reporting from Milanello, Zlatan Ibrahimovic carried out individual training today as scheduled (not because of an injury). Olivier Giroud was tested in attack but it remains to be seen if he will start, with Divock Origi also waiting for his chance.

In defence, Simon Kjaer could replace Malick Thiaw while one of Sandro Tonali and Rade Krunic should get some rest. Brahim Diaz could also be rested after a fantastic but demanding performance against Spurs.

  1. Listen Inter just lost against Spezia, this is not a time to underestimate the opponent, now is the time to field the best players and get the three points. Don’t risk it.

  2. Rimp we have lots of games left and we are still in the Champions League… Milan does not have ONLY eleven players! We have some descent players on the bench who can contribute to this team! You should know that players are human and they need rest to perform better and as a coach you need to manage your players well to get the best result for the team!
