Sky: Probable XIs for Milan vs. Inter – Pioli to make two changes in attack

By Oliver Fisher -

Both Milanese teams will try to put a delicate and difficult moment behind them why they face each other in the first leg of the semi-final of the Coppa Italia.

Sky have reported the team news for both sides starting with the changes for Milan from the draw against Udinese. Sandro Tonali is out through suspension so Ismael Bennacer will partner Franck Kessie, and then Pioli should freshen up the attack with two alterations.

The first is that Alexis Saelemaekers – who hasn’t started since the league derby against Inter on February 5 – should be preferred to Messias on the right wing. Rade Krunic should then take the place of Brahim Diaz.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Tomori, Romagnoli, Theo Hernandez; Kessié, Bennacer; Saelemaekers, Krunic, Leao; Giroud.

It will be a typical formation for the Nerazzurri, with Simone Inzaghi choosing the usual Skrniar, De Vrij and Bastoni in front of Handanovic. Dumfries should be right wing-back and on the opposite side it will be Perisic.

Barella, Brozovic and the former Milan player Calhanoglu are lined up to be the midfield trio and the two up front are expected to be Lautaro and Dzeko. Correa is back from injury and January signing Robin Gosens is too, so both should be on the bench.

Probable Inter XI (3-5-2): Handanovic; Skrniar, De Vrij, Batons; Dumfries, Barella, Brozovic, Calanhoglu, Perisic; Lautaro, Dzeko.
