Sky: Pioli makes surprise midfield call – Adli to start against Dortmund

AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli is expected to make a surprise call in the midfield for the Champions League clash against Borussia Dortmund this evening by starting Yacine Adli.

As has been reported by Sky Sport Italia, the French midfielder could be trusted by Pioli in what is one of the biggest games of the season so far for the Rossoneri.

There is a very realistic chance that Milan do not make it through the Champions League group stage which would be both a sporting and financial blow for the club.

It seems that Pioli thinks Adli would be of more use to Milan in the centre of midfield than Rade Krunic for this game against the German side, which is a blow for the Bosnian.

Beyond the change in midfield, the lineup is what fans would expect. Rafael Leao and Noah Okafor remain out so Samuel Chukwueze will start on the left wing, whilst Olivier Giroud returns up front.
