SM: AC Milan deny reports of confirmed Coronavirus cases after first tests

By Isak Möller -

This morning, Corriere Dello Sport claimed that four AC Milan members tested positive for the Coronavirus during Wednesday’s tests at La Madonnina clinic, while other sourced said it was just three.

However, AC Milan have denied the reports of any confirmed cases, according to our correspondent Vito Angele. Therefore, all the players are allowed back at the training ground, Milanello. Group training is yet to be allowed by the government, though.

Also per our correspondent, Lega Serie A are close to announcing the date for the resumption of the season. Bundesliga were the first to do this, as their season will resume already on Friday next week. Behind closed doors, of course.

Of course, it’s all in an attempt to return to relative normality. After two months in lockdown, the Italian government has eased the restrictions and hopefully, the Coronavirus spread will remain at an acceptable level even after this.
