SM: AC Milan’s targets for January; the transfer budget of Elliott

By Vito Angele -

Despite the storm that followed Pioli’s arrival, Boban and Maldini are confident about the manager’s first game in charge of the San Siro side, which will take place on Sunday evening against Lecce.

Then, in less than three months, it will once again be time for the transfer market. A market that, as learned by SempreMilan.com, will see the Rossoneri as one of the protagonists with a respectable budget of around €30-40m.

In fact, the intention of Elliott continues to be constant and targeted investments to grow the club. It shouldn’t be excluded, as underlined by Boban himself, that Milan will focus on more experienced players to add to a very young group.

Profiles for the new Milan – The Rossoneri’s eyes are still on Merih Demiral, though his price tag of €30m is deemed too high by the management. Therefore, they could fall back to an old target of theirs, namely Ozan Kabak.

The defender ended up at Schalke last summer but has struggled to get playing time with his new side (only two appearances in Bundesliga). Kabak could arrive for a figure of €10m, even though the management want to monitor Caldara before making a final decision.

The first request of Pioli – As a first reinforcement, the manager could ask for an offensive player: an important midfielder who can act as a link between midfield and attack, which is what Giampaolo missed in the squad.

A new attempt for the Brazilian player Taison shouldn’t be ruled out. The player has already scored four goals in eight appearances for Shakthar and is an experienced player: exactly what the Rossoneri need.
