SM: Borini, Reina close to exits; Milan to save €10m – Atalanta keeper eyed as replacement

By Vito Angele -

Thursday will be a particularly busy working day at Casa Milan as the Rossoneri are working on two potential sales.

The first concerns Pepe Reina, with his agent currently at Casa Milan this morning to negotiate the termination of his contract with AC Milan. Then, he will be free to sign a six-month contract with Aston Villa which includes an option to extend for another 12 months in case they avoid relegation this season.

The second is that of Fabio Borini, who will be a new player for Hellas Verona. With the sales of Borini and Reina, Milan will save around €10million gross in salary.

Milan will return to the market for a new goalkeeper to replace Reina, and a first exploratory survey was carried out for Sportiello who is currently at Atalanta and has made just two appearances in all competitions this season for the Bergamo club.
