Theo Hernandez will be the player wearing the captain’s armband for AC Milan tonight against Cagliari, it has been confirmed.
Theo missed the last game against Hellas Verona on Saturday due to muscle fatigue but he is back in the starting line-up on the left side of a four-man defence, which Stefano Pioli has reverted to after the 3-4-3 at the weekend.
The Frenchman will be the captain for the game in Sardinia by virtue of the number of appearances that he has made for the club and also because Davide Calabria will initially start from the bench.
Calabria also missed the win a few days ago due to feeling some fatigue and he will not be risked, so Alessandro Florenzi will switch from left wing-back to right-back for this evening’s contest.
Not only that, but Florenzi will be the vice captain too, ready to take the armband in the event Theo goes off early and Calabria isn’t on the field.
