SM: Chelsea open to instalments for Bakayoko; English sirens for Kessie

Less than three months until the start of the transfer market, AC Milan are starting to make their moves. Of absolute importance, to know the Rossoneri’s projects, will be the Champions League qualification.

In fact, the tournament will be key for Milan in regards to the transfer market. As it seems, the midfield will undergo the most changes this summer. SempreMilan.com’s transfer pundit Vito Angele breaks down the latest regarding Bakayoko and Kessie.

Bakayoko return, the situation

The first goal for the 2019/2020 season is Bakayoko’s redemption. Leonardo and Maldini have already asked Chelsea for a discount on the player. However, the Blues, for now, don’t want to sell him for less than the agreed €35m.

The only opening, so far, is their willingness to accept a different payment method. The Rossoneri could get the chance to pay Bakayoko’s transfer fee instalments, thus paying for the former Monaco man in 2-3 years’ time. In the event of qualifying for the Champions League, discount or no discount, Bakayoko’s redemption would become a formality.

Kessie to be sacrificed?

In recent days we have talked a lot about the probable sale of Franck Kessié. The Ivorian midfielder, after fighting with Biglia, has been the subject of many reports and rumours. However, the situation today is that Kessie is not on the market.

Milan, on the other hand, will evaluate any offer that arrives along with the player. For a figure of around €35m, he could leave. Several Premier League clubs are monitoring the situation, including Arsenal and Tottenham. The interest from China should not be underestimated either, though it remains to be seen what will happen.
