SM: Chukwueze medical set for Wednesday after Milan strike deal with Villarreal

By Euan Burns -

Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze is set to arrive in Italy on Tuesday and then undergo his medical on Wednesday, now that AC Milan have struck a deal with Villarreal for his signing.

As has been reported by SempreMilan.it, Milan are set to confirm the signing of Chukwueze soon and he will become the seventh player that Milan have signed this summer.

He will be the fifth of those seven that the club have spent a transfer fee on. The first payment will be €20 million, and then there is another €8m of bonuses.

After completing his medical on Wednesday, Chukwueze will sign a five-year contract with the Serie A side which will see him earn €4m per season.

Once all of the paperwork has been completed for Chukwueze, he will fly out to the United States of America where he can join up with the rest of the Milan squad on their pre-season tour.

    1. I like being optimistic but I don’t like putting these goals as it’s slightly too early to say what’s going to happen throughout but Forza Milan ❤️🖤

      1. Yeah, Milan! For life. I know, but the team we are building is very strong. Don’t know how all these new signings will cope with pre-existing players but yeah we look stronger than most of the teams in Top 8 last UCL.

        1. If scudettos were won with names on the roster we wouldn’t have won it a year ago. We’ve done NOTHING yet and scudetto will be decided on the pitch. But we do have better odds than last season that’s for sure!

          1. So much settling in needs to take place and rust that needs shaking off… Should certainly make for an exciting season though. A lot of upgrades.

  1. Great! Welcome bro! All the new signings were all wonderful in yesterday game. Milan played quite different. Keep it up guys
    Forza Milan

  2. The year we finally addressed the right side. With all respect to Messias (and NO I don’t hate on the guy) and Saelasmaekers, but we needed an actual attack on that side. This will help Leao really flourish even more, by forcing opposing defenders to have to deal with two unpredictable class players.

Just imagine going into a game with Leao as LW, and Chukwueze as RW. Really ready for the Champions League. And no, it’s not disruptive signing players to improve a team and its core. We’re not changing the whole core.

      1. Lukaku will come on loan to take revenge on Inter in the best way possible. But first, they will need to get rid of players like Origi, Rebic, Messias, and especially CDK, who seems to be very profitable financially.

        1. No one will see Lukaku’s transfer to Milan coming, it will be exactly like Noah Okafor’s. It will either take place towards the end of the transfer window, or in December.

        2. I’m not sure we’re going to sign Lukaku. The whole business with Juventus and Inter was very unprofessional. The fact he is Chelsea’s player does play into our hand, but I don’t think we’re going to go for him.

    1. I had my hope for Lacazette. I know there was an offer from Saudi Arabia for him, but I’m probably dreaming here. He probably won’t leave Lyon. Might go for Scamacca is my guess.

  3. This is most important signing !

Imagine, for 28 million we got right winger ! Just remember how much we invested in De Keteleare.

Now Pioli have good attack and he MUST NOT make mistake !! Specially in serie a !

Use best of them and win as much possible points, sir !!!

    Forza Milan !

  4. Even if the game played yesterday showed a lot of potential, this mercato remember so much to the first Li’s one – lots of players, quantity over quality. Maybe the core of the team was better, but still lots of players and we already know what happened. I reserve my judgement about this mercato at least until Pioli eats the pannetone. It is unwise to judge it right now or at the end of the mercato. The last mercato was awful and it was judged in the end of the season, even if we arrived to the SF of the UCL

  5. I’m not too sure about Chukwueze. I mean he’s decent but the transfer fee and his 4m per year are quite high. I’m saying this as a Nigerian, he’s not that great so expectations should not be high.
    Forza Milan.

    1. So basically what has been a Nigerian has to do with this you can always drop ur opinion tho. But don’t be a racist with this comment of urs… and mind u he his a better bargain and let us see aw things will turn around

      1. “So basically what has been a Nigerian has to do with this you can always drop ur opinion tho.”

It’s so easy these days to bring out the racism card if someone with different background criticizes someone else. I think it’s a “safe bet” to emphasize if one is “criticizing their own”. 😀

Yeah. That’s the world we’re living in. A humorous post I saw on FB said that it seems the mankind reached its peak in the 90s and it does seem it’s true. It has been quite the downhill the past 1-2 decades. 😀

    2. i suspect that you are gauging his ability by his performance at the national team. Even at that what do you mean 20 million is too high for that kind of player considering his performance last season? You being a Nigerian even makes your comment very biased. Don’t hate on the guy, please. he has the skill set to do well. it is really surprising that it took this long for him to leave the yellow submarines.

    1. Are you kidding…??? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 There’s no “this team” if Tonali is still here. You can’t buy players with leafs or promise. Wake up and move on dude…

  6. After last season awful & disaster mercato now this season we have better chance win scudetto . Furlani homework now to get rid deadwood on bench like origi ,rebic, cdk, caldara, ballo toure and one from saladmaker / junior

  7. Only either Salad or Junior should leave. The season is long and Chukwueze is not going to play every match. Need a proper backup RW. Calling Romero’s name for the job is too soon. Kid has huge potential but he also has time on his side. Take it slow.

  8. Junior can definitely leave but I still think Salad offers strong work rate as a defensive sub when we have the lead. We all wrote off Krunic as a sub without much use but he proved his place in time. I think Salad can still do this.

  9. We already look very good with 4-3-3 :
    – GK : Maignan / Sportiello / 1 Club-Grown GK
    – RB : Calabria / Saelemaekers
    – CBr : Thiaw / Kjaer / Simic
    – CBl : Tomori / Kalulu
    – LB : Theo / Florenzi
    – DMC (Regista) : Loftus-Cheeks / Bennacer
    – MCr (Mezzala) : Reijnders / CDK
    – MCr (Box-to-Box) : Pobega / Krunic
    – RW : Pulisic / Chukwueze / Romero
    – LW : Leao / Okafor
    – STC : Giroud / Colombo

So, after Chukwueze transfer, focus to outgoing transfers, sell the surplus players. And hopefully the transfer balance will surplus ?

We should thanks to SANDRO TONALI, for give us this Mercato with additional 64M euros from his transfer.
