Arriving on loan in the summer, Ante Rebic’s adventure at AC Milan hasn’t exactly been as planned. In January, in fact, the Croatian could return to Germany after just seven appearances with the Rossoneri.
Rebic hasn’t been able to impress the Milan environment, falling further down the pecking order under the guidance of both Giampaolo and Pioli. As mentioned, therefore, his two-year loan at the club might be cut short.
According to SempreMilan.com’s Vito Angelè, Rebic made contacts with Eintracht Frankfurt a few days ago through his entourage. A return to Bundesliga and the club, currently sitting in 11th place, was the purpose of the talks.
Ahead of the Euros next summer, Rebic wants to play with continuity, as he doesn’t want to lose his starting spot in the Croatian national team. Of course, the idea of a return to Bundesliga is also endorsed by the national team’s manager, Zlatko Dalic.
