AC Milan’s owners Elliott Management have made the stunning decision to sack Zvonomir Boban in light of the interview he made over the weekend.
In recent weeks, Ralf Rangnick has been heavily linked with AC Milan, with reports suggesting that he could take on a role as both sporting director and manager.
After Paolo Maldini had denied the reports by claiming his is not the right figure for Milan, Boban had his say on the situation, hitting out at CEO Ivan Gazidis by stating that the former Arsenal man went behind their backs when initiating contacts with the German manager.
The words have not gone down well with the club’s owners Elliott Management though, and as our correspondent Vito Angele is reporting there will be a meeting in the next few hours regarding the Croatian’s future.
It is expected that the Rossoneri will immediately fire Boban less than 12 months into his role.
