Charles De Ketelaere is the name put at the top of the wish list by Maldini and Massara for the summer market as they believe he can give the attacking department a boost in quality.
As Corriere della Sera have reported, Club Brugge are asking for €40m in order to sell the 21-year-old, a figure considered excessive by Milan given that the player has not yet shown that he deserves such a high transfer fee even if he clearly has potential.
The information of our colleagues at SempreMilan.it is that De Ketelaere remains the signing dreamed of by Maldini and Massara and – once their renewal with Milan has been completed – they will resume conversations with the Belgian to try and agree a deal.
There is an agreement in principle with the player, who currently earns just over €1m net per season which is not a problem, but at the moment the management do not want to spend above €25-30m for the Belgian playmaker.
In recent weeks there has also been talk of Milan’s interest in team-mate Noa Lang but to date the track seems to have cooled down given the will of Brugge to keep the two operations separate.

De Ketelaere needs to be a priority
With what money lol. He will cost our entire transfer budget (40-50M) – no chance unless something drastically changes
we can try to buy one and loan another one.. but for me, lang isn’t necessarry unless rebic or leao move to another club
Milan always procrastinating…this is how Milan will allow other clubs to sign these guys … SMH
