SM: Florenzi suffered trauma in Milan-Bologna and will require arthroscopic surgery

Alessandro Florenzi came on to replace Davide Calabria in last night’s clash between AC Milan and Bologna. It has now been revealed that the right-back suffered a serious trauma towards the end of the game.

Florenzi got 15 minutes plus stoppage time on the pitch last night and he was unfortunate enough to suffer a serious trauma. This was confirmed by the club to SempreMilan just now, with an official statement expected any second.

The right-back carried out some tests this morning and they revealed a lesion of the internal meniscus, which will require an arthroscopic intervention to fix. The surgery will be performed tomorrow in Rome by Professor Mariani.

Recovery times are unknown for now, but it’s the last we have seen of Florenzi this season. It remains to be seen if this setback will affect Milan’s intention to redeem him at the end of the season.
