SM: Ibrahimovic to bid farewell to Milan – a ceremony at San Siro is planned

Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s time at AC Milan will officially come to an end when his current contract expires, and a farewell ceremony is planned.

According to what has been learned by our colleagues at SempreMilan.it, Ibrahimovic’s second spell at Milan is drawing to a close and tomorrow will be his final game as a Rossoneri player, though he will not take part in the game due to injury.

At full-time in tomorrow night’s game, the fans will get a chance to express their thanks and say goodbye to Ibrahimovic as there will be a short ceremony.

It was back in December 2019 that Ibrahimovic’s return to Milan for a second spell was confirmed and the records have tumbled since, with the 41-year-old scoring in each of the last four decades (1990s, 2000s, 2010s, 2020s) and becoming the oldest ever scorer in Serie A history.

He has given a huge supporting hand to a young group that were struggling mentally when he arrived, with the path culminating in last season’s Scudetto win, but this season he has struggled to get on the field due to numerous injury problems.
