Some more information has emerged regarding the terms of the deal that will see Mario Mandzukic return to Serie A with AC Milan.

According to what Pietro Balzano Prota has told us, Milan are working to close the double signing of Mandzukic and Chelsea’s Fikayo Tomori, with both players currently close to joining.

PBP has shed some light on the deal for the former in particular, stating that head coach Stefano Pioli will welcome the Croatian into his squad in the coming days.

A total agreement has been reached over a contract that could last 18 months, with six months guaranteed plus another year which will automatically be triggered in case of personal objectives (appearances) and qualification for the Champions League.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic immediately said yes to the arrival of the former Juventus man, and the Swede has said he would be very happy to be able to play alongside a fellow serial winner. Mandzukic is expected in Italy in the next few hours.

Calciomercato.com report that Mandzukic will earn €1.8million net until the end of the season, which it can then be inferred from that he would get €3.6m for a full season.
