SM: Massara to snub Juventus and renew Milan contract until 2026

By Oliver Fisher -

The renewals of key players such as Rafael Leao are not the only thing on AC Milan’s agenda as sporting director Ricky Massara could soon extend too.

As our colleagues at SempreMilan.it report, the Milan sporting director is currently on a contract which is set to expire in 2024, but a renewal for another two years (therefore until 2026) appears to be a mere formality.

This is despite the attempts of Juventus to try and convince Massara to reunite with Max Allegri in Turin, because the Bianconeri instead seem to have turned to Napoli’s director Giuntoli.

Massara should sign a new deal by the end of this season therefore, with the former Roma director having already communicated to Paolo Maldini – his friend and right-hand man – that his will is to carry on at Milan.

Maldini and Massara have received a lot of credit for their work since arriving, securing the signings of Mike Maignan, Theo Hernandez, Fikayo Tomori, Pierre Kalulu, Sandro Tonali, Ismael Bennacer, Rafael Leao and others who now form a future core.
