SM: Medical booked in as Milan tie up signing of Lyon starlet on five-year deal

By Vito Angele -

Pierre Kalulu is due in Milano on Tuesday ahead of his medical before signing a long-term deal with Milan, we can reveal.

Our mercato correspondent Vito Angele has confirmed to us that the Rossoneri have reached an agreement with the player over a five-year deal.

He will land in Italy tomorrow before undergoing his medical examinations on Wednesday ahead of putting pen to paper on a deal until 2025.

Kalulu is a much-needed reinforcement in what has been a problematic position for Milan all season, with Davide Calabria and Andrea Conti both struggling for form.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanLive) wrote earlier today that chief scout Geoffrey Moncada and technical director Paolo Maldini were key in convincing the player to make the move.

The 19-year-old is a right back, but he can also play as a left-back or even a centre-back if needed, which shows the versatility that probable new manager Ralf Rangnick likes.
