SM: Milan go all-in on Brahim Diaz and reset negotiation with Real Madrid

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan have decided to bet on Brahim Diaz for the future. The Spaniard’s loan will expire in the summer and the Rossoneri are now in talks with Real Madrid, starting from scratch on the price tag.

In the last few months, Milan have been linked with quite a few playmakers; Houssem Aouar being one of them. However, they have decided to focus fully on Brahim Diaz, who has been an important player especially in the second half of the season.

As learned by our colleagues at SempreMilan.it, Milan technically have a buy-out clause at €22m, while Real Madrid have a buy-back at €27m. However, the Rossoneri want to lower the figure and will thus start the negotiation from scratch.

The parties intend to find an agreement at around €15m, as we have learned, either with an outright formula or a paid loan with an obligation to buy (with the fee spread out over several years). There is optimism that a deal will be reached in the end, as the No.10 also wants to stay at the club.

  1. OMG, just stop with the Diaz articles.. Milan wont buy him and right so.. he’s crap cant even play AM. And what kind of charity do people think real has? They wanted 22M€ for him and by some supernatural power they are gonna sell for 15M€ now? Now that his value is bigger than before? Please

      1. Why? Crap players are overvalued all the time. Just look at maguire at united.. if someone is willing to pay 20+ million for Diaz z regardless if he’s crap or not, that’s his value. Right?

  2. This guy its like a clown in the field. Never get to build some milan attack. Only run and run with some foul and then ask the ref for the whistle. Never get improve his skill after 2 years loan. Way too inconsistent. better get another player.

    1. this 100%.He looses too many battles and lacks final passes. Costs us possession by not having required passing finess and wasted scoring chances with dumb attempts too. He blunders too much for the few times he makes good. He can be a decent sub for us, off the bench for 20 minutes or play 60 when he starts against weaker teams. I wouldn’t pay more than 15 mill for him.
