AC Milan are expecting a response soon regarding their offer for Benfica midfielder Florentino Luis, SempreMilan.com has learned.
We revealed over the weekend that contacts are underway with the Portuguese side for Florentino, but they are not open to a loan deal. Milan which would like to sign him on the basis of an 18-month loan with the right to buy.
The club are working with intermediaries to try to convince Benfica, perhaps even inserting a paid loan. Either way, Maldini and Boban are trying for Florentino.
Now, our mercato expert Vito Angele has provided an update, stating that Milan are expecting a response from Benfica regarding Florentino between today and tomorrow.
The Rossoneri are offering a loan with option to buy at €40m, while Benfica are using the €120m release clause to demand at least €60m.
Meanwhile, the deal which would send Rodriguez to Fenerbahce has halted. There is currently no possibility for a transfer to Turkey.
