SM: Milan trio left out of squad for Sampdoria clash – the situation

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan have confirmed that the likes of Divock Origi, Ante Rebic and Aster Vranckx will miss out on the game against Sampdoria this evening. A blow for Stefano Pioli, who was working with poor depth to begin with.

The Rossoneri are in dire need of three points this evening as the Champions League race is coming to an end. Without a win, Lazio could seal the deal tomorrow with a win against Udinese, a game in which they are heavy favourites.

It’s far from ideal, therefore, that Origi, Rebic and Vranckx won’t be available for the game tonight, as we have learned. The Belgian is struggling with fatigue in his left adductor, while his left-wing colleague sprained his left ankle in training this week.

As for Vranckx, he has inflammation in his pubic bone. Of course, none of these players were expected to start but at least Vranckx could have helped off the bench, especially since Ismael Bennacer also is out with an injury.

  1. time to consider calling up traore, hilali and stalmacht for the bench and maybe give them some minutes if necessary,

    1. @Milanelo. CDK should be used as a RW. He is left footed and he can shoot very well. He is being wasted as a AM or Striker. RW will be his best position. I hope Pioli figures this out sooner than later.

  2. Pls Milan should use kalulu that defender is very solid at least sometimes kalulu and Kjaer or kalulu at right back sometimes

  3. Let me get this straight. Vranckx has “inflammation in his pubic bone”. So he can’t play because he has a boner… rub it out and get on the field.
