It’s just the men’s team of AC Milan that will have a different look next season, but also the women’s team. While there have been a few departures, there will also be some important signings for the Rossonere.
Milan Women are working to strengthen the squad for the upcoming season down below is the probable formation including the signings (not yet announced), as reported by our colleagues at SempreMilan.it.
Goalkeepers
Between the sticks, there will be Laura Giuliani again. The backups will be Selena Babb (the contract renewal is being studied) and Noemi Fedele.
Defence
The Rossonere will lose Laura Agard, while the renewal of Laura Fusetti is very close. Arnadottir has been confirmed and the signing of Noémie Carage from Dijon is one step away. The permanence of Linda Tucceri is in doubt.
Midfield
Christy Grimshaw is very close to renewing until 2024. Greta Adami is the only certainty (contract expiring in 2023). Jane and Selimhodzic will leave, the latter possibly on loan. Celeste Boureille has already returned to America after the five-month loan. Silvia Rubio Avila from Madrid CFF is very close. An agreement has also been found for the Dubcova sisters. Bergamo and Guagni have also been confirmed.
Forwards
Piemonte will remain at the club. Valentina Giacinti is close to Roma. Milan Women have secured the big signing of Kosovare Asllani from Real Madrid. Nina Stapelfeldt is one step away from being confirmed. Towards the loan instead Cortesi and Miotto. Thomas’s permanence is in doubt (contract expiring in June 2023).
Coach and management
Once Maldini and Massara have been renewed, the renewals for Elisabet Spina and Maurizio Ganz are ready.
Probable formation
Milan women (3-4-1-2): Giuliani; Arnadottir, Fusetti, Carage; Bergamaschi, Grimshaw, Adami, Michaela Dubcova (or Guagni); Kamila Dubcova; Piemonte, Asllani.
