AC Milan are planning how the squad will look for next season and they have put a new left-back on their list of targets, according to what we have learned
According to our colleagues at SempreMilan.it, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are thinking about how how to thin out the squad in view of the summer transfer market, which would not only create room for new signings but would also raise funds.
Among the players who could leave if Fode Ballo Touré, who – except for his moment of glory in Empoli – has not lived up to expectations and seems destined to leave at the end of the season.
Milan could sell him to a club in Ligue 1 and bet on a young player with high potential who could come in and grow in the shadow of Theo Hernandez, given that he has the starting spot at left-back very securely locked up.

Agree, FBT hasn’t been bad of late. A new LB shouldn’t be a priority. Also a shout out to Alexis who has done well lately. An attack relying on Giroud we cannot have. Investment must be made in attack with ST, CAM and RW the most important voids to fill. I say it’s time to bid farewell to Rebic (a personal favourite of mine), Origi and perhaps also Messias. LW is without a doubt Leao’s spot. But ST and RW should be addressed. Also Calabria has done well lately, but in combination with the RW it’s evident that our left flank is far more dangerous. If we can manage to create competition on the RB spot and buy a dangerous right winger and a striker with perhaps an investment in midfield and backup GK, I think we’ll be strong for next season

the issue is they refuse to spend what it takes to secure one good player that will be reliable with 1 or 2 seasonsm They prefer getting bit parts in multiple positions. Those three positions are the most expensive to reinforce for a club at our level or with our aspirations. We are lucky if they get one good player in one of those positions per season and keep our best players with the budgets they are targeting.
We don’t have money to gamble around with new players who are unpredictable. Let escalate Andrea Bozzolan .And the story is dead. He’ll deputise Theo well.
Man Rebic was one of my faves. Before Leao, Rebic was the man on the left and even as ST. His unpredictable movement is such a problem for any defender. But injuries slowed him down..he needs his agility

Kerkez wanted to go. He forced the move as he wasn’t getting first team minutes but Theo was in beats mode. Maldini personally wanted him but oh well. He wanted to go. If he waited maybe 6 months we’d have two class left backs. But with the form Theo has I’m not sure he would have developed as he is doing at AZ

Last season milan bring kerkez only to sell him. More cheaper than fode ballo. Mismanagement..

We need another Cafu. Though we don’t have big money, we can bring David Raum(leipzig) or Guga (Atletico mineiro) even on loan .They will deputise Theo well.

Sign young talented LB italian for home grown but have good attitude , i think parisi from empoli or cambiasso from juve are good option
