AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli appears to have selected virtually all of his starting XI that will face Salernitana on Wednesday.
Our colleagues at SempreMilan.it report that Ciprian Tatarusanu should be in goal with Davide Calabria in the back four alongside Pierre Kalulu, Fikayo Tomori and Theo Hernandez, reuniting what was the ‘first choice’ defence from last year.
In the midfield it should be Ismael Bennacer and Sandro Tonali who get the nod as the double pivot, while Alexis Saelemaekers should be on the right of the attack with Rafael Leao on the other flanks.
Completing the attack, Olivier Giroud should start from the first minute but Marko Lazetic is also a possible solution. The final battle is between Brahim Diaz and Charles De Ketelaere for the playmaker role.
Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Tatarusanu; Calabria, Kalulu, Tomori, Theo Hernandez; Bennacer, Tonali; Saelemaekers, Brahim Diaz, Rafael Leao; Giroud.
Diaz all day long.
