SMTV: Rebic Reflection – Milan left with a decision to make on their big-game man

By Oliver Fisher -

Ante Rebic found himself to be a fan favourite and big game player so far in his Milan career but injuries have made an impact on his form this season.

Stefano looks at the debate of potentially selling the divisive Croatian this summer. Does Milan stick with a player who has served the club well in this comeback period or is it one injury too many for the 28 year old?

  1. I agree we shouldn’t sell Rebic; all good reasons (he was our leading scorer 2 seasons ago, 3rd leading scorer last season, and scores big goals against big opponents (Juve, Liverpool, etc.)). And he’s versatile — he has played up top as sole forward for us and on left side; but WHY NOT TALK ABOUT HIM PLAYING ON THE RIGHT WING SIDE!??? He can! He and Perisic during the World Cup run switched sides mid game almost every game and both of those players showed that they are effective crossing the ball into the box with either foot and/or cutting inside to shoot on goal with either foot. We have a player who can play so many different positions — if Leao gets hurt next year or Origi/Giroud/Ibra get hurt, he can play forward and right now our WEAKEST position on the entire team is RW — why not play Rebic there??? Why is nobody talking about this????
