Alexander Sorloth’s name continues to be mentioned as a leading target for AC Milan in view of the summer mercato.
It is certainly not a secret that Milan are on the hunt for a new No.9 ahead of the 2026-27 season. The club hope it will be a campaign that sees the Champions League music return, and as such the right centre-forward is being pursued to give the fans regular goals to celebrate.

All kinds of different names and profiles have been linked, from Dusan Vlahovic and Robert Lewandowski are tempting free agents, to targets that would require big investments like Igor Thiago and Moise Kean.
Then, there is Sorloth. Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) describes him as ‘one of the hottest names right now’ in the search for a striker. This season, the Norwegian, who has scored 19 goals in 50 appearances overall, has been used primarily as a back-up.
Diego Simeone has had the Alvarez-Griezmann duo to call upon in a season that sees Atleti fourth in LaLiga and having made a run to the semi-finals of the Champions League. Sorloth is consequently considering a move this summer to get more playing time.
The paper confirms that the Rossoneri have been following him for some time, but obviously the deal is only possible if Milan qualify for next season’s Champions League. Sorloth, who fits what Allegri’s requests are, is valued at at least €25m by Atlético Madrid.
Sorloth’s career to this point has seen him bounce around various different clubs and countries, with varying degrees of success achieved:
- Atlético Madrid (2024–Present): 35 appearances, 20 goals (as of April 2026).
- Villarreal CF (2023–2024): 34 appearances, 23 goals.
- Real Sociedad (2021–2023 – Loan): 67 appearances, 16 goals.
- RB Leipzig (2020–2023): 30 appearances, 5 goals.
- Trabzonspor (2019–2020 – Loan): 34 appearances, 24 goals.
- KAA Gent (2019 – Loan): 19 appearances, 4 goals.
- Crystal Palace (2018–2020): 16 appearances, 0 goals.
- FC Midtjylland (2017–2018): 19 appearances, 10 goals.
- FC Groningen (2016–2017): 38 appearances, 5 goals.
- FK Bodø/Glimt (2015 – Loan): 26 appearances, 13 goals.
- Rosenborg BK (2013–2015): 6 appearances, 0 goals

Gila (20-25), Ake (5 to 10 at most, maybe I’m wrong but I doubt it), RWB (25 to 30 or maybe even 35), Goretzka (OK, we would snatch him for free but (we) would also be obligated to pay him and his entourage a hefty commission just like in Vlahovic’s case, I’ll give you that), Chiesa (not more than 10-15), Grimaldo and Sorloth cca 20 each. Even if I am mistaken about some of the transfer fees, that wouldn’t make too much difference, that’s all still within our “range”, so to speak.
Wages will also be an issue.
LOL!!! Doomed to fail in Italy. Just look at the stats. Only 2 good seasons and both in Spain where they can’t defend at all. He wouldn’t ever score double digits in Serie A. Probably not even in Serie B.
LOOOL you’re bang on. He doesn’t fill anyone with confidence. An extra 15mil roughly and we could get Guirassy. Why do fans always know more than the management 😂
In fact, with the chaos at Madrid, we could snatch both Camavinga and Valverde. We could even scrap Guirassy, and offer Leao to Bayern for Kane 😂😂
How about Mbappe who’s already a fan like Modric? 😀
“Why do fans always know more than the management 😂”
Because our management have only 2 criteria: price and the potential profit when we sell the poor guy. Everything else is irrelevant to them.
