AC Milan will have a lot of decisions to make in planning for next season and among them are the fates of various loanees.

As La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) report this morning, there is a lot in the balance currently when it comes to how Milan might look in 2025-26, starting with the coach and extending to the destinies of star players.

There are also some loan situations to sort out through, like Alexis Saelemaekers and Tammy Abraham, for example. At the end of the summer transfer window, Milan and Roma agreed on a swap deal with the idea of speaking again in June.

Who is most satisfied with the exchange? Roma, because Saelemaekers is doing well. They will try to keep him for another season or take him permanently, but Milan may have an interest in keeping him depending on who is in charge.

In January, meanwhile, two players arrived on loan with an option to buy: Kyle Walker and Riccardo Sottil. Sottil is expected to remain and Walker too, if his good start continues after an impressive first few games.

The big theme is Joao Felix. Milan took him on loan and Conceiçao let him play straight away: in the two matches against Feyenoord, he got the full 90 minutes. Their destinies are linked, also because Jorge Mendes is the agent of both. Milan’s plan could soon be to renew the loan until 2026.

  1. Abraham is the next Origi. Have to be blind not to see that.

Stop bringing unsellable deadwood into the team & the club will flourish once again. Very simple.

    1. Tammy has 13 GA’s in 1300mns of play. That’s almost a contribution per game. For a sub that’s actually decent.

      Origi scored… what… like 2 goals total?

Maybe you’re the blind one. LOL!!!

    2. Is Origi is still getting paid 4m and he plays for reserves? Meanwhile, Milan couldn’t raise Bennacer salary to 4m when he has been with the club since 2019 and won multiple trophies.
Thats the mad circus with the current owners

      1. Bennacer was our second highest paid player at around 6.5 mil gross pr. year after Morata who was at 8.3 mil gross pr. year before both of them left the club. Origi is indeed training with the Futuro but he ain’t playing….at all.
Not to praise the ownership or managment but to consider that Bennacer was injured over half the time I’d say he was more than handsomely paid and if anything I’d argue that it’s good riddance that he left us as we certainly can both do better and at a more favorable salary.

    3. He’s on a dry loan. Milan won’t be stuck with Abrahamif they don’twant him. Origi comparison is just not relevant. Regardless of performance. Which is far better than Origi anyway.

  2. As a player then Felix definitely has some qualities technical speaking but I gotta say I don’t like him complaining to the ref, diving while also trying to wrestle the opposition (like we also have seen with Musah and Theo lately) and then sulking about it afterwards. He is basically a yellow card walking as referees simply wont stand for such behavior. Besides of that the only players who should complain to the referee is in fact only the captains as there has actually recently been implemented rules that stipulates that. So complaining to the ref might hand said players a yellow card so players better brace themselves for new times as they are already here but just often not fully enforced.

  3. I would recall Saelemaekers before permanently signing Felix. Unless we get an unbelievable price for him. Good player, but he is not worth it imo. This is a Jorge Mendes – he represents Conceicao and Felix. Same thing happened last year with Gio Reyna loan to Nottingham Forrest. The move did not work but it got done because Mendes represents Gio and Nuno Espírito Santo. I don’t like these favors … conflict of interest

  4. Whatever. There’s no situation regarding the loan players until we know who is going to be coach next season, and I don’t think it’s going to be Conceicao.

This Felix stuff is a press invention. There was no speculation linking us to him until it happened, it was a last minute deal, pushed onto the club by Mendez. The Italian media adore him, most people think he’s a fraud. Management only see things in terms of numbers so unless Felix wins matches and gets goals and assists, he’ll be sent back. Even if he does very well, Milan won’t offer more than €30 million because (most?) of the budget goes on Ricci.

We don’t know if Juve will redeem Kalulu.
Tomori has 2.5 months left on his contract and he’s a **** up so Milan will try to cash in.
Emerson will be sold if there’s a buyer.
Theo is almost certainly going to be sold, probably to Bayern or PSG.

  5. Tammy is not even good as a backup striker. It. It is not just goals but which matches he scores and when. Example, It is less meaningful to score 2 goals vs Lecce when the team is 3-0 ahead.
Milan need a better 2nd striker along with Morata. I cant believe they loaned out Morata. Imagine him and Gimenez together. That would have been the real fire combination.

  6. Milan has issues with their style of play and that’s the Manager’s point of view . The team has serious defending issues looking at how they concede goals . The best way to carry victory in football is to score goals and defending goals .
