Louis Vuitton group owner Bernard Arnault has reportedly made a request that Elliott Management Corporation keep Paolo Maldini at AC Milan.
There has been widespread speculation that Arnault is interested in purchasing the Rossoneri from American hedge fund Elliott Management.
La Repubblica even went big with a report earlier in the year which stated that that Arnault has tabled a €975m bid to buy Milan, and a number of sources have continued to insist that the Frenchman has a genuine interest, including PianetaMilan reporter Louis Girardi.
According to the latest from Girardi on Twitter, if Milan and technical director Paolo Maldini do agree to go their separate ways at the end of the season it will not be a permanent goodbye, but rather a break. The future of the former Rossoneri captain will always be at Milan.
He follows this up by stating that Arnault has asked to Elliott keep at Maldini at Milan, and if the American fund refuses then Maldini would return to Milan with the new ownership in a new role.
