Talks between AC Milan and Fiorentina over a swap deal involving Lucas Paqueta are beginning to gather pace, one journalist has claimed.
The midfield will be one of the departments most involved in the next market, with Lucas Biglia and Giacomo Bonaventura set to leave on a free, while Ismael Bennacer appears to be the only certainty.
There are doubts over the future of Paqueta, who tried to change clubs in January with his agent Edoardo Uram having spent a week in Milano holding constant talks with the Rossoneri leadership.
According to transfer source Alessandro Jacobone of Radio Rossoneri on Twitter, Fiorentina’s interest in Paqueta is growing strong and strong by the day.
Milan are aware of this and have proposed a straight swap deal involving the former Flamengo star and centre-back Nikola Milenkovic, with both valued at around the €30m mark.
Fiorentina though are playing hard ball and instead wish to sign Paqueta on loan with option to buy that would become mandatory under certain conditions.
