In recent weeks, the future of Alessio Romagnoli has been a hot topic in Italian media, as the defender’s contract will expire in 2022. However, AC Milan have no intention of parting ways with their captain.
Ever since his arrival in 2015, the defender has been very important for the Rossoneri. He was rewarded with the captain’s armband ahead of the 2018/19 season and hasn’t looked back since, committed to the red and black colours.
According to Alessandro Jacobone of Milanista Non Evoluto, Romagnoli has given his total priority to renew the contract with Milan. Everton and Atletico Madrid have both made inquiries but the 25-year-old is happy with the San Siro side.

As mentioned, the current contract will expire in 2022 and the Rossoneri are expected to table a two-year extension. In the summer, a youth revolution is expected at the club and Romagnoli will be an important man for the present and future.
