We’re two games into the Serie A season and it already looks like it could be the most competitive season in years, with AC Milan also starting strongly.
Two wins from two games, Milan have started perfectly under Ruben Amorim in Serie A. However, they will face a much bigger test this weekend as they return to Turin to face Juventus on Matchday 3.

It’s an early Champions League six-pointer and Luciano Spalletti has already taken a look at the state of the division’s race for Europe.
A seven-team battle
Speaking to SportMediaset, via Calciomercato.com, Spalletti offered his views on the Champions League race ahead of this weekend’s game against the Rossoneri.
“I don’t want to be presumptuous or create limitations; I want to be very realistic. In the press conference, I said: ‘Try to rank the top eight and you’ll have to keep important teams out of the Champions League spots.’
“There are seven teams of significant standing, both in terms of their quality and the path they took in the previous season, in addition to the potential of their squads and the important transfer market.
“For our part, we must focus on improving day after day to get closer to our goals, which are so far away today. We must commit ourselves every day to do something different, with hard work and seeking motivation. Only in this way can we aspire to the process that leads to victory.”
Considering this weekend’s game is against another Champions League hopeful, it could be an early test to see where both teams are. However, with Spalletti’s assessment of there being seven teams worthy of Europe’s top competition, it makes things a little different.
Though both clubs have somewhat of an advantage, given they have the Europa League route to the Champions League, too. However, that’ll be far from easy, too.
Roma are already raising their hand, Inter is expected to be a contender. The rest will have to slug things out. Makes for an interesting season…

Atalanta has been a team to count on. But I don’t think they will contend this season. Fio definately not.
