Spanish report claims Rangnick wants Milan want to swoop for Barcelona-bound playmaker

Ralf Rangnick is already at work on the Milan transfer market despite the fact his appointment is not yet official.

The German is expected to start a new adventure in Italy and will be tasked with rejuvenating a fallen giants with a youth-oriented project.

According to Todofichajes.com, one of the names on his wishlist is Las Palmes starlet Pedro Gonzalez Lopez – better known as Pedri – an attacking midfielder who can also play as a winger.

The 17-year-old is regarded as the ‘perfect fit’ for Rangnick and Milan as he is a talent of quality and potential, with affordable costs and tactically useful in the 61-year-old’s system.

The problem though is that Barcelona already have Pedri’s contract in hand and he is set to join the Blaugrana on 1 July. However, Milan could swoop to secure an initial loan, given that he will not find much space in Quique Sétien’s team initially.

Born on the Canary Islands, Pedri is considered one of the best players in the Spanish second division, having collected 26 appearances in the season, amassing 3 goals and 4 assists.
