Spezia management meet with Milan to discuss possible return of €12m-rated midfielder

By Oliver Fisher -

A meeting was held this afternoon between the AC Milan management and representatives from Spezia, with Tommaso Pobega’s future discussed.

Pobega came back to Milanello following the conclusion of his loan at Spezia with the aim of convincing Milan to give him a second chance. After a positive season with the Ligurian club – with whom he scored 6 goals in 20 league games – he certainly has a case.

However, TMW reports that Spezia sporting director Riccardo Pecini met with the Rossoneri leadership and a possible return for Pobega was discussed given his impressive exploits last season. Milan could sell the midfielder if an offer of €12m or more came in, and Spezia have inquired about the midfielder and about the possibilities of an exit.

It must be noted that Pobega also has other suitors in Serie A, so Milan may have the choice of where he goes if indeed they do decide to sell the 22-year-old.
