Sport: Milan and Real Madrid have discussed playmaker ‘many times’ as Maldini like him ‘a lot’

By Isak Möller -

It’s been talked about a lot this summer but the subject is still very relevant, and that is Milan need a new playmaker. Several names have been mentioned in the media and Dani Ceballos is one of them.

The Rossoneri parted ways with Hakan Calhanoglu at the start of the summer and since then, they have brought back Brahim Diaz from Real Madrid. However, he might not be the only signing from the Bernabeu side.

In an exclusive interview with MilanNews, SPORT journalist Giacomo Iacobellis spoke about Milan’s interest in Dani Ceballos, who might not have a future with Real Madrid. Indeed, he’s a player that they like.

“Dani Ceballos is a player that Maldini likes a lot. The relations between Milan and Real are excellent, they have talked about him many times. Today, however, the player wants to convince Ancelotti and only if he fails he will look for a new team at the end of the transfer market. Milan could be ready to pounce,” he stated.

Based on recent reports, though, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have other priorities for the playmaker role and we will simply have to wait and see about Ceballos. There is still time left of the mercato and Milan are clearly very patient.

  1. So, we are ready to buy what others do not want. Great!
Given J Rodriguez is willing to cut off his salary and wants to join us, why not sign him?! He is better than Ceballos
