AC Milan are always on the lookout for talents on the market and Benfica winger Diego Moreira has ended up on their radar. Contacts with an intermediary have taken place, a report claims.
The Rossoneri have been very successful in bringing in young, talented players over the last few years. The likes of Pierre Kalulu and Alexis Saelemaekers spring to mind, especially since they were more or less unknown when they arrived.
Then, of course, there are examples such as Rafael Leao and Sandro Tonali that have experienced tremendous growth since joining the club. According to SportItalia’s Gianluigi Longari, the latest talent on Milan’s radar is Diego Moreira.
The 18-year-old plays as a winger for Benfica (mainly on the left) and he has made two appearances for the first team. Several teams are following him, per the report, but Milan have recently held talks with an intermediary to take stock of the situation.
Moreira’s contract with the Portuguese side will expire in 2024, it should be noted.
Players from Portugal are ridiculously expensive. Unless Milan are going to wait 20 months, this is pointless.
