AC Milan are yet to fully secure the signing of Conrad Harder from Sporting Lisbon. According to a report, the deal could fall through at the last minute.
On Monday evening, it was reported by various sources that Milan had reached an agreement with Sporting Lisbon for Harder. The transfer fee was believed to be €23-24m plus bonuses, with a contract worth €1.5m per season ready for the player.

However, there has been no significant movement since and the reason that has been reported in the media is that Sporting want to find a replacement first. This stalemate has put the entire transfer seriously at risk, as reported this afternoon.
Milan could abandon pursuit
According to Michele Criscitiello of SportItalia, the negotiations between Milan and Sporting have now become ‘complicated’ and the transfer ‘could fall through’ as a result. There will be new contacts between the parties shortly but for now, pessimism is filtering.
It remains to be seen if Milan will move forward with the Dane, or if they will switch to another target. Dusan Vlahovic remains on their radar and he’s the striker that Max Allegri has requested, so perhaps that would make more sense.
The next few hours should tell us more about the situation as Milan ultimately need to move fast, with the window closing on Monday evening.

I think it was more waiting on Sporting to find a replacement. Sporting delayed it because they want a replacement. They aren’t negotiating in good faith. And that Milan wanted him sooner rather than later because time is fast running out.
I’m fairness it is Milan management that don’t negotiate in good faith.
No wonder hoijlund was not interested in joining the circus.

We are the worst at asset management. Selling players without replacing them, then expecting clubs to transfer theirs without having one in place first late in a window. We needed Okafor in that first game and Thiaw, a ready to go defender more than the transfer income. Those lost points and negative position it puts the team in psychologically is more valuable than money when we already sold plenty up until that moment with 3 years straight of profit. We know the backline lacked organization, then sold a player who fit in late. They don’t understand team building, preparation, chemistry and stability. They made the same mistakes 3 summers in a row.
Then they sign an unknown RB after depleting the position. They sell Theo for a walking medical liability who is no better at defending, slower and half as talented offensively, who on top of it, with the transfer fee and wages cost like 10 million less than retaining Hernandez. It is bad business. We needed a CB even before selling Thiaw…
We haven’t purchased a striker when finishing goals has been a problem agaisnt good teams. Pulisic racked a few up, mostly against very weak opponents. Gimenez came in halfway…that should have been the number one priority with a CB and defensively acute midfielder. We been lacking those for 3 years at least and still don’t get the picture.
