Sportitalia: PSG still interested in Milan star but Maldini sets €80m asking price

By Oliver Fisher -

Paris Saint-Germain have not let go of the idea of signing Theo Hernandez from AC Milan this summer but the asking price set is very high.

After the official signings of Georginio Wijnaldum, Sergio Ramos, Achraf Hakimi and the imminent arrival of Gianluigi Donnarumma, PSG seem determined to keep adding to their squad as they look to take the Ligue 1 title back and even win the Champions League.

Sportitalia (via PianetaMilan) reports that the French club are thinking seriously about Theo Hernandez after the sale of Mitchel Bakker to Bayer Leverkusen, which means Leonardo is looking for another player in that position and the name of the Milan full-back is back in vogue.

The broadcaster also underlines how the Rossoneri could even give the green light to the sale, but it will take a monster offer of €80m to convince Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara to even open negotiations. Even PSG, you feel, cannot stretch that far.

  1. If you sell Theo who do you want us to see ? They sell but to bring good replacement is a case. That’s Milan for you, their focalty of thinking is very poor.

  2. Theo has one of the lowest pays in Milan team but you ask for 80m ? if you see him that good then give him 5m/year not 1.5.
I feel like todays Milan is a business not a sport team.. 🙁

  3. We will never be on top of Seria A not to mention CL if we sell our best players. Give him pay rise he deserves much more than he earns. In our last great era, we were not great because we give away for money Seedorf, Nesta, Maldini, Cafu, Pirlo, Inzaghi… some players are the backbone of this team and selling them shouldn’t even cross our minds. 80 mil is much money and jet you cant buy anybody for less then 40?
