Sportitalia: Roma boss Fonseca keen on move to sign Brazilian midfielder from Milan

By Oliver Fisher -

Roma are considering a shock move for AC Milan midfielder Lucas Paqueta in the final few days of the window, a report claims.

We reported on Thursday that Edoardo Uram, Lucas Paqueta’s agent, visited Casa Milan on Wednesday to ask about his client’s physical condition.

The Brazil international was in La Madonnina clinic after the win over Udinese due to a tachycardia from anxiety and stress: the result of a moment where he is not at his best on a personal level, between the field and private life.

Sky Italia reported on Thursday that Lucas Paqueta has asked to be left out of the squad for the trip to Brescia on Friday amid rumours that he is suffering with life away from the pitch.

According to Sportitalia – as cited by MilanNews.it – Roma are keen on potentially giving Paqueta a fresh start as their manager Paulo Fonseca is a huge admirer of the playmaker.

There have not yet been any notifications, but Roma are looking for a player with creative qualities following the ACL injury sustained by Nicolo Zaniolo.
