SportItalia: Toronto table contract worth over €50m for Milan target Belotti

By Isak Möller -

Andrea Belotti’s contract will expire at the end of the season and after seven years at the club, it seems Il Gallo is ready to move on. AC Milan are one of the teams interested but the competitions fierce.

Ten days ago, Corriere Della Sera (via MilanNews) reported that Belotti isn’t keen on moving to Newcastle or Toronto as he would prefer to join Milan. The Rossoneri are indeed interested and since Belotti is a boyhood fan of the club, it would make sense.

However, the temptation of another offer might put Belotti on different thoughts. According to Gianluigi Longari of SportItalia, Toronto are very keen on the striker after securing the services of his compatriot Lorenzo Insigne.

In fact, they have tabled a five-year contract worth €10m per season plus an additional €5m in bonuses linked to objectives. Belotti hasn’t decided his future yet, per the reporter, as he’s also evaluating other offers.

  1. If he was our target then we would have already offered him contract ,you can’t be so passive and expect from players to wait for you until last day.I don’t believe in these stories tbh that he was our target.

    1. I could be wrong, but if the rules are the same as England then you legally can’t offer a contract to a player in their last year until 6 weeks before the end of it if they are in the same league as you.
