Sporx: Galatasaray reject €10m bid from Milan for centre-back – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have seen an offer for centre-back Victor Nelsson rejected by Galatasaray, according to a report from Turkey.

Inside the final week of the January mercato, the Milan management are still looking for the right profile and deal to bolster the defensive department, and they seem to have looked east.

According to what is being reported by Sporx, Galatasaray received offers for Kerem Aktürkoğlu and Nelsson, with the former drawing a €10m bid from Ajax and the latter a €10m offer from Milan.

However, the Turkish side rejected both bids because they do not deem the amounts to be enough. Instead, they expect an income of approximately €40m combined for the pair, so it now becomes a matter of whether Ajax and/or Milan will increase the amount.

Nelsson started his career as a youth player for Nordsjaelland and then moved to Copenhagen for €3.6m in the summer of 2019.

The 24-year-old signed for Galatasaray for €7m and he has a release clause of €25m, but the source suggests that a bid of €15m will be enough. The Dane has a contract with Galatasaray until 2026 and he has been linked to Milan before.

With time running out until the window closes, Geoffrey Moncada will have to act quickly if things are to move forward.
