Sporx: Milan pushing to land Real Madrid playmaker via Brahim-esque formula

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan were one of the teams that tried to sign Arda Güler last summer and they are reportedly ready to throw their hat into the ring again in view of June.

Güler’s first season in the Real Madrid shirt is different from what he probably expected, because while the leap from Fenerbahce to one of the most successful clubs in the world is a big one, he has just 92 minutes of game time under his belt across five appearances.

The situation is not destined to improve, considering the arrivals in the summer of Endrick from Palmeiras and potentially Kylian Mbappé on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain, which is why Güler could leave on loan.

According to Sport (via Calciomercato.com), Real Madrid believe in his potential which is why they paid €20m plus €10m in bonuses – and included a 20% resale clause – in order to win the race to sign him from Turkey.

For this reason, the aim is to find him a team in which he can have space and showcase his talent on loan, and Milan are interested after they were ready to trigger his €17.5m release clause last year.

Geoffrey Moncada and Antonio D’Ottavio have had Güler’s name in their notebook for some time and he could arrive on a one-year or two-year loan, therefore an operation similar to the one that brought Brahim Diaz to San Siro.

However, Real Madrid could decide to place him in a Spanish club so he gets some LaLiga experience, with Las Palmas, Real Sociedad and Mallorca on him.

  1. Why?

He rejected us in the first place, and now we’re going to farm him again for Real Madrid??

I sincerely hope that this rumour is completely false.
