AC Milan face competition for Sven Botman as Premier League side Lille have joined the race to sign him from Lille, a report claims.
According to The Telegraph, Antonio Conte has asked for Spurs to strengthen the centre-back core available to him ahead of the new season and Botman is one of the profiles identified by the management as being a target. However, Inter’s Alessandro Bastoni and Josko Gvardiol are also on the list too.
Botman was heavily linked with a move to Milan during January but also to Newcastle United too, though the report claims that the Ligue 1 side would not have let him leave for less than €50m.
That might just rule Spurs out of the race depending on how much they have to spend and the areas they prioritise. Meanwhile, Conte has a strong bond with Bastoni as he won the title with the 22-year-old, and Gvardiol – although only 20 – has big potential.
