Reports continue to pour in regarding AC Milan’s interest in signing Nicolo Zaniolo from Roma, and now Gianluca Di Marzio has weight in.
Di Marzio gave an update on Sky (via PianetaMilan) during which he stated that at the moment the only offer Roma have received for Zaniolo is from Spurs, and it is a loan with an obligation to buy linked to appearances and qualification for the Champions League, set at €20-25m.
However, at the moment the Giallorossi are not accepting that bid due to the lack of certainty regarding it becoming a permanent deal. Roma have no intention of changing the conditions and have no other offers, although interest is growing around the winger.
If Roma’s stance were to change then Spurs could well win the race but it would open the doors to other clubs too such as Milan, who could offer a loan deal and a figure similar to that put forward by Tottenham, around €25m.
Milan are waiting and studying the situation while Spurs and Milan would both be welcome destinations to Zanillo, but everything revolves around Roma’s stance, though they are lining up Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech in case they need to replace him.
