CM: Spurs defender holding out for Milan move despite €25m Nottingham Forest bid

By Oliver Fisher -

Nottingham Forest have made an offer to sign Japhet Tanganga from Spurs on a permanent deal but AC Milan remain firmly in the race, a report claims.

According to a report from Calciomercato.com, Milan pursued Tanganga earlier in the summer but put things on pause while looking at other targets, though recently Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have rekindled talks.

They are pushing for a loan with option to buy deal while Spurs want it to be an obligation under certain conditions that are easy to achieve. However, the strong competition of Nottingham Forest and a bid of €25m could complicate things.

Tanganga wants Milan and has reiterated this to his agents in the last few hours. The Rossoneri are his priority because of the size of the club and the opportunity to play in the Champions League, and he intends to wait a few more days to see if the move can materialise.

Nottingham Forest are serious though and are close to reaching an agreement with Tottenham. Now the ball passes to Maldini and Massara duo who will have to decide what to do.

  1. Daniel Levy isn’t letting him come to us for an option to buy at 15 when forest will take him now for 25. Nothing gets between him and a pound note and certainly not 10M
