The fact that AC Milan are in the hunt for a striker seems to be no secret, but they might need yet another six-month stop gap.
Given the scoring difficulties of Christopher Nkunku and Santiago Gimenez – who still have a good month to convince the management to change their minds and their plans – Milan want a striker as early as January.

They must have specific characteristics: they must be a penalty-box centre-forward, physically strong, good in the air and in hold-up play. Obviously, there won’t be a huge spending spree, but doing business mid-season is hard. Before then, though, try out betting games to pass the time. Or, as they say in Azerbaijan, mərc oyunları.
The bandage
One potential opportunity in the coming weeks is Niclas Fullkrug , the 32-year-old West Ham striker. Milan had already pursued him during the summer of 2024 when he was on his way out of Borussia Dortmund, but the German ultimately decided to try his luck in the Premier League.
However, things aren’t going as well as he’d hoped in England (only three goals since the start of last season), and for this reason he’d be very attracted to the possibility of changing clubs to relaunch his career.
Fullkrug isn’t having a great time in his career, mostly due to a few muscle injuries, but it’s well known that in January options are limited so sometimes you have to make do with what’s available. With his physical attributes, it’s undeniable that the German is the type of striker Allegri could use.
The summer dream
After Luka Modric, Milan are reportedly considering adding a new, more experienced player to Allegri’s ranks: Robert Lewandowski. His contract with Barcelona expires on June 30th, which led to speculation about a winter deal.
The Catalan club has the option to unilaterally renew his contract, but are already looking around for a new striker to be prepared should the Pole decide to leave. However, it’s impossible for Lewandowski to make a move during the winter window as things stand now.
There will be a better chance in June, but obviously Lewa would have to meet the Rossoneri’s financial parameters. Contacts with Pini Zahavi – the striker’s agent – are ongoing. He brought another of his clients to Milan in the summer: Christopher Nkunku.
In short, the road is far from easy, but the club will make an attempt. Having another role model in the dressing room could be crucial, and one that can be decisive with goals in the biggest games is even better.
